Sentry Advisors, LLC, a regulatory risk consulting firm serving financial institutions, has reported a data breach affecting individuals in Massachusetts. According to a disclosure filed with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office on Dec. 18, 2025, the breach exposed sensitive personal information, including social security numbers.
The company’s notice did not specify exactly how the breach occurred or whether it was the result of unauthorized access, a cyberattack, or another type of incident. There is also no indication of when the breach took place or if individuals in other states were affected.
The severity of this breach is notable due to the exposure of names, addresses, phone numbers and social security numbers, which are highly sensitive pieces of personally identifiable information (PII). The exposure of PII puts individuals at risk of identity theft and financial fraud.
In response to the breach, Sentry Advisors, LLC is offering affected individuals complimentary access to Single Bureau Credit Monitoring, a Single Bureau Credit Report, and a Single Bureau Credit Score for 24 months through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company specializing in fraud assistance and remediation services.
