RTX Corp., an American aerospace and defense conglomerate, disclosed a data breach involving a security incident that occurred in June 2026.

The breach was reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on July 24, 2026. RTX began sending written notices to affected individuals on July 23, 2026.

The security incident occurred on June 25, 2026. Once discovered, the company launched an investigation into the incident to determine what types of personal information were affected.

The investigation found that the types of personal information involved in the breach included first and last names, mailing addresses and Social Security numbers.

RTX's response to the breach

RTX is offering affected individuals 24 months of free access to Equifax Complete Premier, a credit monitoring and identity protection service.

Affected individuals who received a notification letter can enroll in the free monitoring service by visiting Equifax's enrollment page and entering the unique activation code included in their letter. The deadline to enroll is Oct. 31, 2026.
