
Neon One LLC, a Chicago-based software company that provides cloud-based fundraising, donor management and event management tools for small and midsize nonprofit organizations, has disclosed a data breach linked to a third-party software vendor called Klue.
The company mailed notification letters to affected consumers on July 31, 2026. The total number of individuals affected has not been disclosed.
A cybersecurity incident at Klue, a software vendor that provides an integration service for the company's Salesforce customer relationship management software, resulted in unauthorized access to some personal information. The unauthorized access occurred between June 11 and June 12, 2026.
Neon One became aware of the incident on June 16, 2026, several days after the unauthorized access began. The company stated that the incident was contained.
The notification indicated that personal information was accessed during the breach. The specific types of data involved were detailed in each affected individual's notification letter but remain undisclosed to the public at this time.
Neon One is offering a complimentary 24-month membership of Experian IdentityWorks.
Affected individuals can enroll online using the activation code included in their notification letter. The enrollment deadline is Oct. 31, 2026, at 6:59 p.m. Central Standard Time. Individuals who need assistance or prefer to enroll by phone can contact Experian's customer care team at 833-704-9386, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central Time, excluding major U.S. holidays.
