Kokomo24/7, a technology vendor that works with the Los Angeles Unified School District has experienced a major data breach. On Dec. 11, 2024, Kokomo Solutions discovered suspicious activity on its network. An investigation revealed that a cybercriminal accessed files on the Kokomo network.
The total number of individuals involved in the data breach has not been released. The cybersecurity incident compromised personal information which may include names, addresses, contact information, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state ID numbers, and medical or health information.
The data breach was disclosed to the California Attorney General's office on Aug. 5, 2025. It is believed that several thousand students may be impacted by the cybersecurity incident.
In addition to required state and federal disclosures, Kokomo Solutions is notifying affected individuals by mail. The company is also offering 12 months of free Experian IdentityWorks Credit 3B monitoring and protection services.
