
Hut American Group LLC, a Pizza Hut franchisee operator and part of the Flynn Restaurant Group portfolio, disclosed a data breach that exposed sensitive consumer information.
The company is a premier brand within the Flynn Group, which also operates franchise locations for brands such as Applebee's, Panera Bread, Taco Bell and Wendy's. Notably, the Apple American Group, operators of the largest Applebee's franchise in the United States, reported a data breach to various state attorneys general offices starting on Aug. 18, 2026. At this time, it is unknown whether the incidents are related.
The company filed a breach report with the Texas Attorney General on Aug. 21, 2026, identifying 3,528 Texas residents as affected.
The types of personally identifiable information exposed in the breach included addresses, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, government-issued identification numbers (such as passports and state ID cards), financial information (such as account numbers and credit or debit card numbers) and dates of birth.
The breach also exposed protected health information, including medical information and health insurance information.
Hut American Group is notifying affected individuals by U.S. Mail.

Individuals who receive a notification letter from Hut American Group should read it carefully, as it may contain important information about available protections, enrollment deadlines and additional resources.
