Salina based, Central Kansas Mental Health Center, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to its computer network that was discovered the breach on Sept. 26, 2025.

The company disclosed the incident to the Indiana Attorney General and posted a notice about the incident on its website. So far, 682 Texas residents were confirmed as impacted.

According to the notice, staff implemented incident response protocols and took the network offline to prevent further unauthorized access. The organization also brought in external cybersecurity experts to conduct a detailed investigation into the nature and scope of the incident.

The investigation determined that an unauthorized individual had gained access to the organization's network and likely accessed files containing personally identifiable information and protected health information. The specific types of information that may have been exposed in this incident include names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, government-issued ID numbers (e.g. passport, credit or debit card number), medical information, health insurance information and dates of birth.

At the time the notice was published in November 2025, the investigation was still underway. The organization stated it was conducting a thorough review of all affected files to determine which individuals were impacted and what specific information was associated with each person.
