CB Squared Services Data Breach Exposes Social Security Numbers

CB Squared Services Inc., a Virginia-based company that operates Jiffy Lube service centers in the Fredericksburg and Northern Virginia area, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to its computer network.

CB Squared Services identified unusual activity in its computer network. Upon discovering the activity, the company launched an investigation to determine the scope and nature of the incident.

The investigation found that an unauthorized party gained access to CB Squared Service' network between April 30, 2026, and May 7, 2026. During this period, copies of certain files were taken from the network.

After reviewing the contents of the compromised files, CB Squared Services determined on June 25, 2026, that the files contained the names and Social Security numbers.

The breach was disclosed to the New Hampshire Attorney General on July 7, 2026. CB Squared Services began mailing notification letters to affected individuals on that same date. The total number of people affected across all states was not disclosed in the regulatory filing.

CB Squared Services' response to the breach

CB Squared Services is offering affected individuals a complimentary membership to Epiq Privacy Solutions, a credit monitoring and identity protection service.

Affected individuals can enroll by visiting Epiq Privacy Solutions and entering the activation code included in their notification letter. Enrollment must be completed by the deadline printed in the letter.

CB Squared has also set up a dedicated toll-free call center for individuals who have questions about the incident. The call center can be reached at 888-289-7053, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
