
A New Path Financial LLC, a small financial planning and investment advisory firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, recently disclosed a data breach involving sensitive personal and financial information.
According to a filing with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on July 28, 2026. The total number of individuals affected in the United States has not been publicly disclosed.
A New Path Financial mailed notification letters to individuals, detailing a recent data security incident that may have involved the personal information of certain consumers. The letter did not provide specific dates for when the incident took place, when the company became aware of it or how long any unauthorized activity may have continued.
The personal information potentially exposed in the breach includes full names, dates of birth, current addresses, Social Security numbers, financial account information and government-issued identification card details.
A New Path Financial is offering affected individuals 24 months of credit monitoring and identity protection services through IDX at no cost. To enroll, individuals must visit the IDX website and enter the enrollment code found at the top of their notification letter. The deadline to enroll is Oct. 1, 2026.
