Individuals whom Just4Veterans LLC charged a fee in connection with a Department of Veterans Affairs disability claim on or after Sept. 20, 2020, may be eligible to claim a cash payment or debt forgiveness from a class action settlement.
Just4Veterans LLC agreed to pay $750,000 to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging the company charged unlawful fees to veterans for assistance with VA disability claims. The settlement also includes non-monetary relief, such as unpaid fee forgiveness and a permanent halt to Just4Veterans LLC accepting new VA-related clients.
Who can file a claim?
The settlement class includes all veterans whom Just4Veterans LLC charged a fee in connection with a VA disability claim on or after Sept. 20, 2020.
This includes two main groups:
- Veterans who paid any fee to Just4Veterans LLC for VA disability claim services during the class period (must file a claim form)
- Veterans whom Just4Veterans LLC charged (invoiced) a fee for VA disability claim services during the class period but the veteran not pay it (do not need to file a claim form)
How much can class members receive?
The amount class members can receive depends on whether they paid a fee to Just4Veterans:
- Class members who paid fees: Eligible for a pro rata cash payment from the net settlement fund determined by the total amount they paid to Just4Veterans relative to the total all claimants paid. No one will receive more than they actually paid.
- Class members whom Just4Veterans charged a fee but who did not pay: Eligible for full discharge and forgiveness of any alleged obligation to pay Just4Veterans. There is no cash payment.
How to claim a settlement payout
Class members who paid a fee to Just4Veterans must submit a claim form to receive a cash payment. They can file a claim online using the unique ID and password provided in the settlement notice they received. If they did not receive a unique ID and password and/or settlement notice, they must contact the settlement administrator at 844-951-2349 or J4VSettlement@rg2claims.com to request a claim form.
Class members who wish to dispute the fee amount shown in Just4Veterans' records may submit documentation or an explanation to the settlement administrator.

Class members whom Just4Veterans charged but who did not pay the fee do not need to submit a claim form. The company will automatically discharge their balance if the settlement receives final approval.

- Electronic payment (details provided during the claim process)
$750,000 settlement fund breakdown
The $750,000 settlement fund will cover:
- Attorneys’ fees and expenses: Up to $300,000
- Service awards to class representatives: $5,000 each ($10,000 total)
- Payments to approved class members: Remainder of the fund
Just4Veterans will pay settlement administration costs separately. This will not reduce the fund available to class members.

When is the Just4Veterans settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will distribute payments after the court resolves any appeals and grants final approval of the settlement.
Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged Just4Veterans LLC charged unlawful fees to veterans for help with VA disability claims in violation of Maryland law and federal regulations.
Just4Veterans LLC denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the risks and costs of further litigation.
