Golden Corral Corporation agreed to pay $1.83 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging negligence in safeguarding the personal data of more than 183,000 current and former employee.

Who is eligible for a Golden Corral settlement payment?

Class members must meet the following criteria:

• The data breach that occurred between Aug. 11, 2023, and Aug. 15, 2023, affected them.
• They received a notice from Golden Corral regarding the data incident.

How much is the data breach payout?

Class members can select one of these two options:

• Compensation for unreimbursed economic losses: Up to $10,000 for unreimbursed financial losses experienced due to the data breach. This includes any fees and losses due to fraud or identity theft.
• Pro rata cash payment: In lieu of an economic losses claim, class members can submit a claim for a pro rata cash payment estimated at $50.

How to claim a class action settlement payment

Class members can file a claim online or download the PDF claim form to print and mail to the settlement administrator. They must submit or mail their claim by May 1, 2025.
