Individuals who logged into the MD Live portal, engaged in any activity between May 30, 2023, and Aug. 11, 2025, and had an active Facebook and/or Google account during that period may be eligible to claim up to $15 from a class action settlement.
Evernorth Health Inc. and MD Live Inc. agreed to pay $3.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging the companies disclosed users’ sensitive information and private communications on the MD Live website to Google and Meta without user consent.
Who can file a claim?
Eligible class members are individuals who accessed the MD Live portal at patient.mdlive.com between May 30, 2023, and Aug. 11, 2025, engaged in any activity on the portal after signing in and had an active Facebook and/or Google account during that time period.
How much is the settlement payout?
The total settlement fund is $3.5 million. Eligible class members may claim a cash payment of up to $15. The actual amount may be less depending on the total number of valid claims submitted and deductions for settlement administration costs, attorneys’ fees and costs, and class representative awards.
If the total of all valid claims plus these expenses exceeds the $3.5 million settlement cap, the settlement administrator will reduce payments to class members on a pro rata basis.
How to claim a settlement payment
To receive a payment, eligible class members must submit an online claim form or print and complete the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator.

Required proof
- Class members do not need to submit documentation to prove their eligibility, but they must attest under penalty of perjury that they accessed MD Live’s portal between May 30, 2023, and Aug. 11, 2025, engaged in activity after signing in and had an active Facebook and/or Google account during that period.
- Class members using the online claim form must provide the claimant ID they received in their settlement notice.

$3.5 million settlement fund breakdown

When is the Evernorth Health payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments to eligible class members after the court resolves any appeals and grants final approval of the settlement.
Why is there a class action settlement?
The lawsuit alleged Evernorth Health and MD Live violated the Florida Security of Communications Act and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act by sharing users’ sensitive information and private communications with Google and Meta without consent.
The defendants denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the costs and uncertainties of litigation.
