Arisa Health, Inc. has agreed to pay $1,900,000 to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging that the company failed to adequately protect sensitive personal and health information during a data breach.
The class action lawsuit claims that unauthorized third parties accessed files containing names, Social Security numbers, medical record numbers, health insurance details, substance abuse program certifications, medical histories, diagnoses, driver’s license numbers, dates of birth, and physical and email addresses.
Who is eligible for a data breach payout?
Class members must meet the following criteria
- They are an individual Arisa Health identified as being impacted by the data breach incident.
- They were sent a notice from Arisa Health about the data incident.
How much is the class action settlement payment?
Class members can submit a claim for one or more of the following benefits:
- Credit Monitoring: All class members can claim three years of one-bureau credit monitoring.
- Documented Losses and Expenses: Class members may claim up to $5,000 in monetary losses and expenses fairly traceable to the data breach. Eligible losses include unreimbursed losses from fraud or identity theft, credit monitoring costs incurred after the incident and bank or credit card fees.
- Pro Rata Cash Payment: In addition to the above options, class members may also submit for a pro rata cash payment, estimated at $70. Final payment amount will be determined by the number of claims filed.

To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a claim form by the deadline of August 27, 2025.

$1.9 Million data breach settlement fund
The $1,900,000 settlement fund will include:
- Settlement administration costs: To be determined
- Attorneys' fees: Up to $665,000
- Attorneys' expenses: Reasonable costs and expenses, to be presented to the court for approval
- Service awards to class representatives: $2,500 each
- Credit monitoring: Cost determined by number of claims filed
- Payments to approved claimants: Remaining settlement funds
Arisa Health has also agreed to certain business practice changes to enhance security, which will be $150,000 to $300,000 paid separately from the settlement fund.

When is the Arisa Health data breach settlement payout date?
