What Happened?
On June 15, 2026, zHealth discovered that an unauthorized third party had accessed and potentially copied information from its network.
The investigation revealed that the breach occurred between Jan. 20 and Jan. 21, 2026.
After a thorough review, zHealth determined that sensitive information was exposed and began notifying affected individuals on Sept. 10, 2026.
The breach was also discussed on the dark web, where a threat actor named Kazu claimed to have leaked 15 GB of data, including over 1.2 million records containing patient medical information, clinical notes, appointment details and billing data.
