About Wynn Resorts

Wynn Resorts is a publicly traded hospitality company based in Paradise, Nevada. The company operates five main resort properties: Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, Wynn Macau, Wynn Palace Cotai, Encore Boston Harbor and the upcoming Wynn Al Marjan Island in the United Arab Emirates.

With more than 28,000 employees, Wynn Resorts is known for its large-scale properties, high-end accommodations and extensive entertainment and dining options.

What Happened?

On Feb. 20, 2026, a hacker group known as ShinyHunters claimed to have breached Wynn Resorts’ systems, stealing sensitive employee data.

The group posted on a dark web site that they had compromised more than 800,000 records, including personally identifiable information (PII) such as Social Security numbers, names, and other employee data. They threatened to publish the stolen information unless Wynn Resorts contacted them by Feb. 23, 2026.

Wynn Resorts confirmed the breach and stated that they activated incident response protocols and launched an investigation with external cybersecurity experts.

The company reported that the attackers claimed to have deleted the stolen data, and as of now, there is no evidence that the data has been published or misused.

At this time, the information exposed has not been confirmed, as well as the number of people affected by the breach.
