Your Rights and Next Steps
If you received a notice from Wood Personnel Services, it means your information may have been compromised. There are important steps you can take to protect yourself:
- Enroll in the complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services provided by IDX. The deadline to enroll is March 16, 2026.
- Monitor your credit reports and financial accounts for any suspicious activity or errors. You are entitled to one free credit report annually from each of the three major credit reporting bureaus: TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax.
- Consider placing a fraud alert or a credit freeze on your credit file. A fraud alert requires businesses to verify your identity before issuing new credit, while a credit freeze restricts access to your credit report entirely.
- If you suspect identity theft, file a report with law enforcement, your state Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commission.
You have the right to know what information is in your credit file, to dispute inaccuracies, and to seek damages from violators under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Additional resources and contact information for credit bureaus and relevant authorities are included in the notice sent to affected individuals.
