What Happened?

On Aug. 3, 2026, a ransomware group known as ANUBIS claimed responsibility for a cyberattack against The Winn-Dixie Company.

The group posted on a dark web network, stating they had obtained sensitive company data, including internal corporate documents, sales and revenue data, store performance information, product and inventory records, business intelligence, and other confidential information.

The breach was formally disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General on Oct. 5, 2026. According to the official notice, the types of consumer information were exposed included Social Security numbers.
