What happened?
On Feb. 13, 2025, Vital Imaging experienced a data breach involving unauthorized activity within its network. An investigation was launched and by July 16, 2025, there was a reasonable belief that certain protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII) was accessed and acquired.
The cybersecurity incident impacted approximately 260,000 people in the United States. Vital Imaging disclosed the breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Aug. 21, 2025.
