What Happened?
On Aug. 1, 2026, a ransomware group known as GLOBAL SECRET GROUP claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on Vernon & Waldrep OB-Gyn Associates.
The group posted on the dark web, stating that they had obtained 274 GB of sensitive data from the organization. The compromised data reportedly included files from bookkeeping, HR, clinical scans, email, front office, lab tech, medical records and more.
The types of consumer information confirmed to have been exposed in this breach include:

The breach was disclosed to the Texas Attorney General on Sept. 11, 2026. According to the disclosure, 16,876 individuals in Texas were affected.
The company notified impacted individuals via U.S. Mail.
