The company has a network of more than 180,000 physician users and products deployed in 2,700 hospitals and 13,000 extended care organizations.
What happened?
On July 1, 2025, Veradigm discovered a major data breach. An investigation determined that on or around Dec. 15, 2024, a cybercriminal gained access storage account containing sensitive patient files.
The cyberattack exposed personal, financial and protected health information belonging to thousands of individuals. The company began notifying affected practices and patients by mail on Sept. 22, 2025.

- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Driver's license numbers
- Health records data, including diagnoses, medications, test results and treatments
- Health insurance information
- Payment details
Veradigm reported the data breach to the Massachusetts Attorney General and the South Carolina Attorney General's office on Sept. 22, 2025. According to the disclosures, at least 202 people in Massachusetts, 23,491 people in South Carolina and 41,523 in Texas were affected.
