After reviewing the affected files, United Underwriters confirmed that personal information was accessed and downloaded on May 1, 2026.
The specific types of information compromised as a result of the incident were not disclosed at this time but may have included names, financial information, Social Security numbers, driver's licenses, or addresses.
The company began notifying affected individuals and reported the breach to the California Attorney General’s office on Sept. 21, 2026.
