After a comprehensive review, UFCW Local 7 concluded on Aug. 21, 2025, that sensitive personal information belonging to members was included in the data set accessed during the breach. The breach was reported to the Maine Attorney General’s office on Sept. 22, 2025.
A total of 55,747 people in the United States were affected, including 28 in Maine.

UFCW Local 7 notified affected individuals in writing on Sept. 22, 2025, and offered 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Cyberscout.
