Their products are used by healthcare providers to repair or replace damaged or broken joints, and their systems are designed to optimize patient recovery and improve efficiency in the operating room.

What Happened?

TriMed discovered suspicious activity on its systems and confirmed it was the victim of a ransomware attack by the group LYNX. The incident occurred between Sept. 13, 2025, and Sept. 21, 2025.

TriMed learned on Jan. 23, 2026, that files containing sensitive information may have been accessed or acquired without authorization. The types of consumer information exposed in this breach include:

Information Exposed:

  • Names
  • Dates of birth (in some instances)
  • Medical record numbers
  • Information related to implant parts ordered (such as the type of part, associated installation components like screws, or the ordering surgeon’s name)

Importantly, the company stated that Social Security numbers, personal bank account data, and personal credit card data were not involved in this breach.
