What Happened?

TPIS Industrial Services was the victim of a ransomware attack by a group known as PLAY.

On March 26, 2026, PLAY claimed responsibility for the breach, stating they had obtained confidential company and client data. The exposed information reportedly included private documents, payroll, IDs, tax data, and financial records, with the threat that this data would be published within three days.

The company disclosed the breach to the Texas Attorney General on July 17, 2026.

According to the official report, at least 2,123 individuals in Texas were affected. The company notified impacted individuals by U.S. Mail.
