What Happened?
On Dec. 10, 2025, Total Wireless learned from its identity verification service provider, Veriff, that an unauthorized party had accessed certain personal information of some Total Wireless customers. The breach itself occurred on Nov. 18, 2025.
According to the official notices, the breach impacted only Veriff’s systems and did not affect Total Wireless’s internal systems.
A total of 8,583 people in the United States were affected, including 159 in Indiana, 13 in Maine, 128 in Massachusetts, 20 in New Hampshire, and 1,095 in Texas. The company began notifying affected consumers in writing on Jan. 9, 2026.
