What Happened?
On April 23, 2026, Ernst & Young LLP (EY), a professional tax services provider for Tishman Speyer, detected suspicious activity within a third-party IT service management platform used to support tax-related work.
EY’s investigation revealed that, between March 28, 2026, and April 12, 2026, an unauthorized third party accessed and downloaded documents related to several EY clients, including Tishman Speyer investors.
EY notified Tishman Speyer of the breach on Aug. 6, 2026. After a detailed review, it was confirmed on Aug. 25, 2026, that certain individuals’ information was compromised.
Tishman Speyer’s own internal systems were not affected.
The breach was reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General on Sept. 16, 2026, with 24 Massachusetts residents impacted.
At this time, Social Security numbers are the only confirmed type of information compromised. Bank account numbers, income and net worth were not included in the exposed data.
