What Happened?
The Health Trust discovered suspicious activity on its computer network on May 26, 2025.
After taking steps to secure its systems, further suspicious activity was found on June 11, 2025. The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to certain systems before March 26, 2025, and again between June 8, 2025, and June 11, 2025. During these incidents, data was accessed and/or copied from the network.
The breach was linked to the Qilin ransomware group, which claimed to have obtained 408GB of data from The Health Trust. The group posted about the breach on the dark web on June 5, 2025.
The Health Trust performed a comprehensive review to determine what information was involved in the incident.
Information Exposed:
- Social Security numbers
- Financial account information
- Government-issued identification
- Health insurance information
- Medical information
- Names
The files involved in the breach were provided to FASS as part of their service relationship. There is no evidence at this time that The Health Trust's internal client files were directly involved in the incident.
