What Happened?

On July 9, 2026, The Financial Guys identified suspicious activity affecting a portion of a vendor’s computer network.

An investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor gained access to a single system within the network. The company took steps to contain the incident, including changing passwords, disabling remote access, and employing cybersecurity professionals. While normal operations resumed shortly after, it was determined that certain files and information on the affected system may have been accessible to the unauthorized actor.

The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General on Aug. 7, 2026.
