Teamsters Local 175 is a labor union based in South Charleston, West Virginia, representing thousands of workers across West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, and Virginia. Founded in 1940, the union advocates for workers in the construction, transportation, and warehouse industries.

What Happened?

On March 4, 2026, Teamsters Local 175 discovered unauthorized activity within its computer systems.

The organization quickly secured its network and engaged third-party forensic investigators to assess the situation. The investigation revealed that, as early as Jan. 2, 2026, an unauthorized third party may have accessed sensitive personal information.

The breach was disclosed to the Maine Attorney General’s office on March 13, 2026. Written notices were sent to affected individuals beginning March 10, 2026.

In total, 24,780 people in the United States were impacted, including two in Maine.

A ransomware group known as INC RANSOM claimed responsibility for the attack and posted about it on the dark web on Feb. 21, 2025.

Information Exposed:

  • First and last names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Commercial driver’s license information
