Taos Mountain Casino is a small, tribally owned casino located at 700 Veterans Highway, Taos, New Mexico, situated on Taos Pueblo land.

The casino features more than 200 slot machines, including video poker and keno, with hours extending from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

What Happened?

On March 28, 2026, Taos Mountain Casino discovered suspicious activity on its computer systems.

The casino disconnected its network and engaged a third-party cybersecurity firm to investigate. The forensic investigation determined that, on March 26, 2026, an unauthorized actor accessed certain files on the casino’s systems.

The ransomware group DragonForce claimed responsibility for the attack and posted about it on the dark web on June 1, 2026, stating they had obtained 38.63 GB of data from the organization.

According to the casino’s official notice, the following types of consumer information were exposed:

The casino began notifying affected individuals on June 9, 2026.
