Survival Flight is an emergency medical transportation company that provides both air and ground medical transport services.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Batesville, Arkansas, the company operates a fleet of Bell helicopters and Pilatus PC-12 aircraft to deliver rapid response and patient transport across several states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

What Happened?

On July 17, 2025, Survival Flight discovered a cybersecurity incident that impacted its IT systems.

The company engaged third-party cybersecurity experts to contain and remediate the incident and notified law enforcement. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party gained access to Survival Flight’s network and acquired a subset of files containing sensitive information.

On Sept. 12, 2025, the hacking group Worldleaks claimed responsibility for posting Survival Flight’s data on the dark web.

The breach exposed the following types of consumer information:

  • Dates of birth
  • Social Security numbers
  • Financial account numbers
  • Health insurance information
  • Medical information
  • Medical records
  • Patient account numbers
  • Medical treatment information

The incident was reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General on March 6, 2026.

At this, 14 individuals in Massachusetts were affected.
