What Happened?
Superior Drywall experienced a ransomware attack allegedly by the SAFEPAY group in January 2026.
The incident was first posted on the dark web on Jan. 24, 2026, with the hackers threatening to publish stolen company data within days. The company discovered the breach and began an investigation with external cybersecurity professionals.
By May 22, 2026, they determined that between Jan. 9 and Jan. 12, 2026, unauthorized parties may have accessed and acquired sensitive personal information. The types of consumer information exposed include:

The breach has so far affected at least 730 people in Massachusetts.
