On or around Dec. 23, 2024, Steadfast Companies discovered indications of unauthorized access to its systems. An investigation revealed that an unknown actor gained access to certain archived files and folders between Nov. 27, 2024, and Dec. 11, 2024. The company acted quickly to secure its systems and reported the incident to federal law enforcement.

The breach affected at least 1,102 people in Texas and three in Massachusetts. Notices were mailed to affected individuals, and the breach was reported to the California, Massachusetts and Texas attorneys general in July 2025.
