What Happened?

In July 2025, SomnoSleep Consultants was impacted by a data breach involving its third-party billing vendor, Avosina Healthcare Solutions. On July 29, Avosina discovered that parts of its computer system had been compromised by an unknown threat actor in a ransomware attack, later claimed by the Qilin group. Avosina was able to restore services using backups and launched an investigation with security experts and law enforcement.

SomnoSleep Consultants was notified of the incident on Sept. 29, 2025. By Nov. 17, 2025, Avosina confirmed that a limited number of SomnoSleep Consultants patients were affected. The breach did not impact the practice’s own electronic medical records or billing systems, but some documents were accessed and possibly exfiltrated.
