Upon learning of the incident, Solventum launched an investigation and brought in outside forensic experts to assess the situation. Impacted customers were also notified.

Notably, on April 19, 2026, a threat actor known as SeraphimGroup claimed responsibility for the breach and posted about it on the open web, further raising concerns about the security of the compromised data.
