What Happened?
On or about April 16, 2026, Sefas Innovation discovered that an unauthorized group claimed possession of data associated with two of its clients, Frost Bank and Monson Savings Bank.
The company launched an investigation and engaged cybersecurity specialists to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation revealed that there was unauthorized access to the secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) server used by Sefas to provide software support.
Between December 2025 and April 2026, files containing Frost Bank and Monson Savings Bank data were downloaded by the unauthorized party.
The affected files included sensitive personal information.
Information Exposed for Frost Bank Customers:
- Names
- Addresses
- Social Security or other taxpayer identification numbers
- Account numbers
- Dates of birth
- Loan numbers
The information exposed for Monson Savings Bank customers remains undisclosed at this time.
The company began sending notification letters to affected Frost Bank customer on May 20, 2026, and to affected Monson Savings Bank customers on July 9, 2026.
