What was the April 2024 Data Breach?

On or about April 13, 2024, Safe Fleet discovered suspicious activity within its computer systems and launched an investigation with the help of third-party cybersecurity specialists. The investigation revealed that, on or before April 13, 2024, an unauthorized actor gained access to certain systems and accessed or took sensitive information.

Safe Fleet completed a thorough review to determine what information was exposed and who was affected. On July 18, 2025, the company began notifying affected individuals by mail. The breach impacted approximately 7,478 people in the United States, including at least two residents in Maine.
