The ransomware group Qilin claimed responsibility for the attack and stated on the dark web that they obtained the organization’s data, threatening to publish it within days. The breach was posted on the tor network on Feb. 23, 2026.

Rocky Mountain Care is still reviewing the affected data to determine exactly what information was involved. At this time, the company has not specified the exact types of information exposed, but it is investigating whether Protected Health Information (PHI) was impacted.

The company has stated that affected individuals will be notified directly once the review is complete.
