The company secured its systems and brought in cybersecurity experts to investigate. It was determined that an unauthorized third party had gained access to a portion of RMC’s computer systems between Oct. 4 and Oct. 13, 2025.
After a thorough review, RMC learned that files containing personal information were affected. The company completed its investigation on Feb. 12, 2026, and began notifying affected individuals on April 20, 2026.
A total of 120,426 people in the United States were impacted by this breach, including 26 in Maine. The company notified affected individuals by written notice.
At this time, the types of consumer information compromised remain publicly undisclosed. However, the breach may have involved personally identifiable information such as names, addresses, or Social Security numbers.
