What Happened?
On June 1, 2026, Quantum Health detected a service outage that impacted both internal and external systems.
The company secured and isolated its systems and brought in third-party forensic experts to investigate. It was determined that the outage resulted from unauthorized access to the company’s IT network, which occurred after a user responded to a vishing call on May 29, 2026.
Between May 29, 2026, and June 1, 2026, an unauthorized party accessed and acquired files from certain Quantum Health systems.
By July 8, 2026, the investigation confirmed that some of these files contained sensitive consumer information. The breach was reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General on July 30, 2026.

- Health insurance information (such as insurance policy numbers or claims/benefits information)
- Health information (such as medical information, treatment information, diagnoses, prescriptions, provider names, and dates of service)
