What happened?
On July 9, 2025, PeopleGuru became aware of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to certain systems within its network. An investigation revealed that between July 6 and July 9, 2025, a threat actor may have viewed or taken sensitive information stored on PeopleGuru’s systems.
The data breach compromised personal and protected health information belonging to an unknown number of individuals. PeopleGuru began notifying affected individuals by mail on Oct. 16, 2025.

The cybersecurity incident was also disclosed to the Maine and California Attorney Generals on Oct. 16, 2025.
