What Happened?

On July 31, 2026, Pavillon detected suspicious activity within its computer network. Steps were taken to secure systems, including resetting account passwords and engaging external cybersecurity specialists.

By Aug. 7, 2026, it was confirmed that an unauthorized actor had accessed parts of Pavillon’s network and exfiltrated sensitive data.

On Aug. 5, 2026, the ransomware group GLOBAL SECRET GROUP claimed responsibility for the attack, stating on a dark web forum that they had obtained 646 GB of data, including patient records, treatment information, employee records, and other sensitive files.

The breach affected thousands of individuals, with 19 reported in Massachusetts and 3,102 in South Carolina. The types of consumer information exposed include:
