What happened?

In May 2025, Passaic Hospitalist Services experienced a major cyberattack. ApolloMD, a company that provides administrative services to healthcare organizations, discovered suspicious activity within its network on May 22, 2025. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized party accessed the company's systems between May 22 and May 23, 2025. The Qilin ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack.

The data breach compromised personal and protected health data belonging to the patients of multiple physician practices affiliated with ApolloMD, including Passaic Hospitalist Services. The total number of affected individuals has not been released but is believed to include several thousand patients.
