What Happened?

On March 19, 2026, Complete Eye Care dba Orem Eye Clinic reported a data breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. According to the disclosure, approximately 5,800 individuals in the United States were affected by this incident.

The breach was the result of a ransomware attack carried out by a group known as NightSpire. The hackers claimed responsibility for the attack on Jan. 26, 2026, posting about it on the Tor network. NightSpire stated that they had obtained one terabyte of the clinic’s data.

At this time, the specific types of information exposed have not been detailed publicly but may include personal or health information such as names, Social Security numbers, financial account information, medical records, health insurance information, treatment information and/ or prescription details.
