What Happened?

On Feb. 18, 2026, the ransomware group Qilin claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on O. Berk Company of New England, stating they had obtained company data and posting about the breach on the dark web.

The incident was later disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General on March 6, 2026.

According to the notice, the following types of consumer information were exposed:

• Financial account information
• Medical records
• Social security numbers

So far, in Massachusetts, two individuals were reported as affected by this breach.
