What Happened?

On Sept. 6, 2025, NFI North detected a network security incident involving unauthorized access to its network environment.

The company engaged third-party forensic specialists to secure its systems and investigate the breach. The investigation determined that sensitive information was exfiltrated and may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party.

The types of information exposed include:

  • Social Security numbers

  • Protected health information

NFI North began notifying affected individuals on Nov. 13, 2025, by written notice.

The breach impacted approximately 49,540 people in the United States, including residents of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.
