What Happened?
On July 11, 2026, and again on July 29, 2026, Next Level Medical discovered suspicious activity in their computer systems.
The company began an investigation with the help of third-party cybersecurity specialists and was able to bring its systems back online securely. By Aug. 31, 2026, Next Level Medical determined that an unauthorized actor had copied certain files from its environment.
The hacking group known as PEAR claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that they obtained three terabytes of data. The incident was a ransomware attack, and the stolen data was posted on the dark web on Aug. 26, 2026.
