What Happened?

On or around May 6, 2026, an unauthorized third party gained access to a Mungo Homes employee’s OneDrive, SharePoint and email accounts by using social engineering techniques to register a new multifactor authentication device and obtain login credentials.

The threat actor downloaded files from these accounts between May 6 and May 11, 2026. The company discovered on July 1, 2026, that some of these files contained sensitive personal information.

The forensic investigation found no evidence of further lateral movement or compromise of other employee accounts. However, the breach resulted in the exposure of sensitive information belonging to individuals connected to Mungo Homes.

  • Financial account numbers
