What Happened?

In February 2025, Mosley Glick O’Brien discovered it had fallen victim to a sophisticated ransomware attack.

The incident was identified on Feb. 19, 2025, and prompted the firm to work with internal IT and third-party forensic specialists to secure their network and restore operations.

The attackers, identified as the BianLian ransomware group, claimed responsibility and alleged they obtained 1.2 TB of sensitive data, including firm and client financials, Quickbooks data, HR data, business contracts, PII and PHI records, and email correspondence.

A comprehensive investigation and review of the affected files concluded on Feb. 24, 2026. Mosley Glick O’Brien began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted by written mail, as well as posting the breach to its website.
