What Happened?

On April 14, 2026, Moorman Harting & Co experienced a ransomware attack by a group known as Akira.

The group claimed responsibility for the incident on the dark web on May 6, 2026. The attackers alleged it had stolen 21 GB of company data, which reportedly included detailed corporate documents, employee personal information (such as passport numbers and Social Security numbers), client files, financial records, contracts and confidential agreements.
