What Happened?
On April 7, 2026, Minnesota Epilepsy Group discovered that an unauthorized third party may have accessed its computer network.
The breach occurred during various times between March 16, 2026, and April 10, 2026. After identifying the incident, the company secured its systems, began an internal investigation, notified law enforcement and engaged a forensic security firm.
By May 18, 2026, the investigation determined that certain files containing personal information were accessed or acquired. On June 5, 2026, Minnesota Epilepsy Group began notifying affected individuals.
In total, 80,061 people in the United States were impacted, including 28 in Massachusetts.
